Drilling holes in the ground has never been easier! Makita's new DDG461 soil drill is powerful and lightweight (8.2 kg with 2 x BL1860B 6 Ah batteries) tool for drilling soil. The brushless motor delivers up to 1400 rpm, the speed can be selected in two settings, 0 - 350 and 0 - 1400 rpm, plus a reverse switch to release a jammed drill bit. With drill Ø150 mm and fully charged BL1860B (6.0 Ah) batteries, the DDG460 can drill about 155 holes with a depth of 600 mm and with drill Ø200 mm about 90 holes with a depth of 600 mm. For optimal operation, the DDG461 is equipped with ADT (Automatic torque Drive Technology) that automatically changes the drilling speed depending on load conditions. The tool also has a torque limiter that activates when a certain torque is reached at low speed. When this level is reached, the drill stops rotating. Dual LED light illuminates the work area so that working is possible even in the dark!
